A delegation of Thang-Ta Federation of India led by President North Zone Thang-Ta Federation, Anjum Fazli and Secretary North Zone Thang-Ta Federation Jawaid Shah called on the Union Sports Minister Vijay Goel for the recognition of Thang-Ta Martial Art sport.
The minister assured the delegation to look into the matter personally. Delegation included MLA and President North Zone Thang-Ta Federation, Anjum Fazli, Secretary North Zone Thang-Ta Federation Jawaid Ahmad Shah, Grand Master, President World Thang-Ta Federation H Prem Kumar, Secretary Thang-Ta Federation of India Vinod Sharma and Assistant Secretary Thang-Ta Federation of India Ayjaz Ahmad Bhat.
While apprising the Union Minister about the sports scenario and infrastructure facilities in Jammu and Kashmir, delegation requested Union Minister to augment the same so that the state of Jammu and Kashmir can compete like other states at national and international level in view of the potential talent interest being shown by the youth including girls.
Delegation also apprised Union Minister about the various issues faced by the Federation on which Minister assured the office bearers that their grievances would be given sympathetic consideration including recognition as National federation.
Delegation also requested Minister to provide sports infrastructure for girls at district level in the
