Akif, Ifham, Arun, Harpreet to play for Mohammedan Sporting Kolkatta

In a major boost to the football in J&K, four emerging footballers of State have been selected for the famous football club of India, Mohammedan Sporting club Kolkatta.

Akif Reshi of Anantnag, Ifham Tariq of Srinagar, Arun of Jammu and Harpreet also of Jammu who all play for Lone Star Kashmir FC will be playing for Mohammedan Sporting Kolkatta in the domestic Kolkatta league this season.aakif

Apart from these four, seasoned footballer, Vinay Kumar has been selected for Toligunj Football Club, Kolkatta. He is also the Lone Star player and represented club in I-League second division.

Kolkatta League is one of the oldest and toughest leagues of India and to play for Mohammedan Sporting club in it is no mean achievement.

Hilal Rasool Parray coach of Kashmir FC, termed is big boost for the football in J&K.

“It is big thing as these youngsters will learn new things by playing in such a tough league. Five players to play in Kolkatta league same time will definitely help JK football,” he said.
