Akhtar Wani emerged overall winner in the first Golden Brands Power lifting championship held at Dak Bunglow Sopore on Sunday.
Akhtar Wani was declared as powerful man of the year after lifting more weight than any other competitor. In the event around, 100 power lifters from Baramulla and Kupwara took part in 10-categories.
The competitors took part in bench press, dead lift and squat disciplines. Mr Kashmir, Waseem Khan and Umer Farooq were guests on the occasion while as owner of Golden Brands was guest of honor.
The event was organized by All India Supplement Importers Association.
