Government Degree College (GDC) Magam has felicitated cycling star of Kashmir Mohammad Akber Khan and the college sportspersons who had excelled in various sports disciplines at College campus Magam on May 4.
In the felicitation function held at college campus Magam, International cyclist of Kashmir Mohammad Akbar Khan was chief guest while as Principal Dr Rhuhi Jan Kant, Physical Education Director Dr Ujwala Kochi and Vice Principal of college Prof Arifa Rashid were also present.
Later college officials felicitated Akber and other sportsperson of the college with trophies and certificate.
Speaking on the occasion Akber said, “For the overall development of any individual, sports play an important role. So one should engage in sporting activity at least for one hour daily,” he said.
Principal Dr Ruhi Jan reiterated his full support to all kind of sports facilities and patronage to deserving players who win laurels for themselves and the college.
