In the Moscow Wushu Stars Wushu championship 24 members from India participated amoung which 17 won medals.
Indian wushu team won 17 medals (3 Gold+5 silver and 9 Bronze medals) in the 6 days Moscow Wushu Stars Wushu Championship from.16th to 22nd February 2018. Four players from J&K participated in the championship and secured 2 silver medals.
Abhishek Jamwal secured silver medal, while losing to Armania in the finals. He is equipped with 09 medals in the National events of wushu presently working as coach in the J&K State Sports Council.
Hashim Ashraf of Budgam also secured silver medal under 17 years loosing to Russia in the finals. He recently secured Silver medal in the school national games held in Jammu.Hamid and Umar Bhat other participants could not earn medals for the country as both the players lost quarter finals bouts. Both the players secused silver medals in the school National games (Wushu) at Jammu.
Kuldeep handoo (National chief coach of india) has congratulated the Indian team for the wonderful performance in the championship and also congratulated Abhishek and Hashim for making the country and state proud. he also congratulated Nissar Ahmed Secretary District Budgam for the achievement.
The office bearers H k Lohia,HOW Vijay Saraf, Ranjeet Kalra, Deepak Handa Sunil sharma and Sohit Sharma of Wushu Association of J&K has congratulated the Abhishek and Hashim for the medals.
