Srinagar: In a move that reinforces its deep connection to the heart of the valley, Khyber Cement has stepped forward as the title sponsor for the ‘Run for Shahrekhaas’ 2026.
Organized by Fucan Sports in collaboration with KSW, this 10K challenge brings a
prestigious sporting tradition back to Srinagar after a ten-year hiatus.
By backing this initiative, Khyber Cement is once again leading from the front not just as a business, but as a cultural custodian of the Shahrekhaas legacy. The run is designed to showcase the architectural and historical significance of Shahrekhaas, mapping a route that celebrates the soul of Srinagar.
Scheduled for May 17, the run will take athletes through the most iconic landmarks of the valley.
The event starts at the Badamwari Garden Gate (Kathidarwaza) and concludes at Islamia College, Hawal, passing through historic sites such as Khanqah-e-Moula, the Budshah Tomb, and Jamia Masjid.
