Shubham Khajuria-led Team A concluded their campaign in the JKCA T20 trial matches with a 22-run win over Shubham Pundir’s Team D at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium on Tuesday. A late-innings blitz from Nasir Lone and a tidy bowling effort led by Govind Sharma ensured Team A stayed ahead in the contest.
Batting first, Team A posted 172 on the board. Kanhaiya Wadhwan anchored the innings with a well-made 41, while Nasir Lone provided the late fireworks, smashing 33 off just 11 balls.
For Team D, Aatif Bin Mushtaq claimed two wickets, while Abid Mushtaq chipped in with one.
In response, Team D fell short despite a fighting 45 from Dikshant Kundal at the top. The rest of the batting order couldn’t quite keep up with the required rate.
Team A’s bowlers maintained control throughout the innings, with Govind Sharma picking up three wickets and Sunil Kumar striking twice to derail the chase.
