Srinagar: In a major surprise , Ladakh womens football team outplayed J&K senior womens football by 3-1 margin in the match of the 27th Senior National Womens Football Championship in Chattisgarh on Saturday.
Having a horrendous campaign in the event, J&K situation got worse as they lost to Ladakh that had endured similar outing in the championship.
Both Ladakh and J&K had winless run in the championship and it was battle between two equal sides. Though Ladakh had not conceded goals like J&K did.
For Ladakh , Jigmet Chuzen scored all three goals while as Zaara Riaz scored lone consolation goal. It is the only goal that J&K has scored in entire championship.
J&K remained winless in five matches and ended campaign on disastrous note.
Jigmet Chuzen was awarded player of the match award.
