Srinagar, November 01: A composed unbeaten fifty by Bushra Ashraf Monday led J&K to fourth consecutive win in the ongoing Senior Women One-Day Trophy at 22 Yards Stadium, Kolkata.

The right-handed batter made 56 runs off 88 balls, helping J&K chase the 116-run total against Bihar with 5 wickets in hand.

Earlier, batting first, Bihar was restricted to 115 runs, thanks to some top bowling by J&K bowlers. Sarla Devi (10-1-24-3) was the wrecker-in-chief while captain Sandhya (10-3-18-2) also bowled a good spell.

In reply, J&K was reduced to 22-2. However, Rudrakshi Chib and Bushra led J&K’s fightback. They stitched a much-needed partnership before Chib fell for 26 runs.

Bushra though continued her good touch, ensuring J&K crosses the line in 43.5 overs with 5 wickets to spare.

This win maintained J&K’s top position in Plate Group. They have 16 points under their belt followed by Nagaland with 8.
