Srinagar, December 29: Downtown Heroes FC emerged out as winner in its first match match of the Real Kashmir Cup at Synthetic Turf TRC ground Srinagar on Tuesday.
Amid testing conditions with snowfall and chilly weather Downtown Heroes FC beat Hyderya FC through tie-breaker. In allotted time no goal was scored and the outcome was decided through tie breaker.
In tie breaker Downtown Heroes FC beat Hyderya FC by 4-3. While Downtown Heroes created chances more frequently they failed to convert those into goal. Hyderya also got couple of chances but Downtown Heroes FC goalkeeper made some beautifull saves.
Even in tie-breaker it was Downtown Heroes keeper Aquib who made superb saves to hand his side a hard fought win.He was awarded man of the match.
It was physical match under slippery surface owing to rain and snow fall.
