Srinagar: The two ice skating players Adeeb Wani and Umer Iqbal from Kashmir represented India in the Singapore International Competition cum SEA Cup held on January 4 to 5.
Adeeb and Umer alongwith M Ashraf Dijoo (coach) were part of 55 member strong contingent from India in the championship. Indian team in the competition were fielded by Ice Skating Association of India. During the event Indian players took part in short track speed skating event in various categories. Before going for the International event, Team India participated in coaching camp from December 27 to January 3. In the event Team India bagged 11 gold, 10 silver and 19 bronze medals.
