Ranji Trophy:IPL boy Abdul Samad’s fireworks power J&K to 460

The new Indian Premier League (IPL) boy of J&K cricket, Abdul Samad on Friday was at his absolute best as powered J&K to 460 run score against Assam in the Ranji Trophy match at Jammu.

With the help of power unbeaten packed knock scored by Samad, J&K declared its first inning on 460/5 on the third day of the play. As the first two days of the match were badly affected by bad light, J&K promoted Samad up the order and the boy didn’t disappoint. He smashed an unbeaten knock of 103 runs from mere 72 balls to power J&K to a big total. His inning included eight big sixes and seven boundaries. Samad was recently picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad during IPL players auction.

He is fifth player to get place in any IPL team. Since emerging in the scene he has been giving consistent performances for the J&K team at each level.

Apart from Samad, Shubham Khajuria  138 run knock while as debutant Henan Nazir 66. Suryansh Raina scored 73.
