Ace cyclist of Kashmir Akber Khan while playing for Team Fortune Resort Heevan has shined in the 122 kilometer Pune Bharamati Race by finishing fourth.
In the national level event around 144 top cyclists from all over Country were participating and total distance covered during first day of the event was of 122 kilometers.
The race was held in two stages and Akbar Khan finished fourth in the 25 kilometer second stage and bagged 5th in the second stage which was of 85 kilometers.
In the event Akbar is sponsored by Fortune Resort Heevan Srinagar and for finishing fourth he has bagged cash prize of 25 thousands.
Asif Iqbal Burza Director Fortune Heevan resort has hailed star cyclist of valley and said that he feels proud that they are associated with Akbar Khan.
Akbar Khan has won two gold medals in National championships so far for the State and two gold medals in All India Inter University Cycling championship.
