4 Matches, 4 DEFEATS in SMAT T20 tournament for J&K

Srinagar: The J&K Senior Cricket teams disastrous performance in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament as they were thrashed by Mumbai in its fourth match at Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium, Jaipur on Friday.

In the match, Mumbai defeated J&K by 37 runs. 

Earlier batting first, Mumbai posted a total of 138 runs for the loss of five wickets on board. Y Jaiswal scored 50 from 36 Ball’s while as Ajinkya Rehne scored 31from 31.S Dube scored 15 and S Mulani 17. For J&K,  Abid Mushtaq was brilliant with thr ball taking two wickets in his 4 overs and giving away mere 15 runs. Rasikh Salam, Yudhvir Singh and Sahil Lotra took one each. Umran Malik was wicketless but was bit economical conceding only 28 runs in four overs.

In reply, J&K never kept going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Qamran Iqbal got out without troubling scorecard on zero while as Shubham Khajuria was next to go on with J&K total on 10.Vivrant Sharma was third socket to fall for J&K in 6th over with score on 18. Fazil Rashid was fourth wicket to fall on the score of 20 runs for J&K in 7th overs. At the score of 48 runs J&K had lost seven wickets. The eight wicket fell on the score of 66 and ninth wicket on 93. Yudhvir Singh was 9th wicket to fall after scoring 22. Before getting runout Yudhvir had scored 22 from mere 7 ball in which he hit 2 sixes and 2 boundaries.

While wickets kept falling the other end, Abdul Sahad tried his luck and played his natural game. In the end he ran out of partners as Rasikh Salam got out run out. J&K got all out on 101 , thus lost match by 37 runs. Abdul Samad remained not out of 38 from 30. For Mumbai, Shams Mulani took 3, Mohit Avasthi 2 and Dhawal Kulkarni 2.
