Srinagar: The District Srinagar Indoor Rowing championship organised by J&K Rowing and Sculling Association concluded at Bakshi Stadium here on Friday.
In the event around 130 players hailing from different clubs and institute’s of Srinagar district participated in both boys and girls section.Competition of various categories were held.
DSP Headquaters Srinagar Owais Ahmad was guest on the occasion.
He interacted with the players and later distributed medals amoung the winners.
On the occasion hailed Owais hailed the event as unique one.
“Rowing is watersports and it is first time I am seeing Rowing being played indoors. It is competition of strength, endurance and stamina. It is not easy for an athlete to compete in this kind of competition as ut requires lot of hard work and preparation,” he said.
