3rd Baba Banda Singh Ji Bhadur T20 cricket tournament started in Srinagar

Srinagar: The 3rd Baba Banda Singh Ji Bhadur T20 cricket tournament organized by Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (GPC) Budgam in association with STC BSF humhama  started today at cricket stadium STC (Station Training centre) Humhama. A colorful inaugural function took place in which 16 teams from across the valley participated. Chief Guest of the function DIG (ops) SK Mishra presided over the function and thrown open the tournament. IMG_3895

On this occasion DIG SK Mishra said that we have been supporting such events. Previous two edition were also supported by BSF and we hope to extend our support in future also. He also said that such events will boost youngsters and they will not indulge in bad habbits.

               The tournament provides an opportunity for the budding cricketers of Kashmir Sikh community to rub shoulders and compete with their cricketing counterparts from other districts as well in the process inculcating the spirit of healthy competition amongst them, as they strive to excel in the sporting arena, chairman organizing committee Inderjeet Singh. he said that this tournament will provide a strong platform for emerging young players and improving the standard of sports and helping in their overall personality development and such events should be organised in future for youth.

               While players appreciated and thanked the organizing committee and said that such tournaments should be organized in future also
