3 players of J&K selected for Junior National Wushu coaching camp

The 3 players of J&K have been selected for the National Wushu Coaching camp that is going to be Chandigarh University from 22nd June to 22nd July. The team will be preparing for the 10th Junior Asian Wushu Championship scheduled to be held at Brunie from 17th to 24th August 2019.

Nasir Aslam Wani felicitated the selected players at his residence. He lauded the efforts of the Wushu Association of J&k for promoting this Combat sports across the state. He congratulated the selected campers and wished then best of luck for their selection in the National team for the further participation in the 10th Asian wushu championship.

The three players were selected during the selection trial held by Wushu Association of India at SAI Bhopal from May 13th to 14th 2019. Naveed Farooq and Munazah Gazi from Srinagar District reserved their berth in the Junior Division whereas Saleem Kumar from Budgam has been selected in the Sub-Junior Division.

The Wushu Association of India is organising National coaching camp in collaboration with Chandigarh University at Chandigarh.

The office bearers of Wushu Associstion of J&K Yogesh Sawhney-Patron, Vijay Saraf-President, Ranjeet Kalra (VP), Deepak Handa (VP), Sunil Sharma (Treasurer), Sohit Sharma, Gautam Sharma congratulated the selected players and wished them best of Luck.

Kuldeep Handoo (National Chief coach of India) also congratulated the selected players,  their coaches and the district units for the historic moment. Maqsood Rather (Jt. Secretary) was also present on the occasion, he thanked Nasir Aslam Wani and the other dignitaries for blessing the selected players and their support in the future for the upliftment of Wushu Sports in the state.
