18 year old Ayesha Naseem announces retirement from Cricket 

Srinagar: In a major surprise, rising women star cricketer of Pakistan Ayesha Naseem has announced her retirement from cricket due to religious reasons.

According to reports, 18 year old cricketer has made decision to step away from cricket due to religious reasons.

“Her decision came from a desire to lead her life in accordance with the teachings of Islam. Ayesha has already informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about her retirement,” report said.

Ayesha made her international debut for Pakistan in March 2020, representing the country in four women’s ODIs and four women’s T20Is. In her international career, she scored a total of 402 runs.

In January 2023 she showcased a quickfire cameo against Australia scoring 24 runs off just 20 balls, including three sixes and a four.

Former Pakistan captain, Wasim Akram, praised her performance against Australia, referring to her as a “serious talent” in one of his tweets.
