YSS Cup Chadoora: Kathirgund Cricket Club outshines Kanir Cricket Club to lift the title

Chadoora, January 01: Kathirgund Cricket Club lifted the title of Youth Service and Sports Cup by defeating Kanir Cricket Club by 44 runs in the grand finale at Watelwani Wathoora.

Winning the toss and batting first, Kathirgund posted a competitive total of 140 runs on the board in allotted 20 overs. Sakib was the top-scorer for them with 40 runs to his name.

Chasing the target, Kanir Cricket Club never looked comfortable in the chase as they were bundled out for meagre 96 runs. Rohid was the pick of the bowlers as he clinched 4 wickets while as Javid scalped 3 wickets.

Lastly, Rohid was declared as player of the match for his brilliant bowling spell while as Riyaz Pir walked away with the player of the tournament award for his brilliant all-round performance throughout the tournament (184 runs and 10 wickets).
