Harmer, Maharaj Dominate as India Fall for 140

The second Test concluded in emphatic fashion as South Africa bowled out India for 140 while defending an imposing target of 549 on the final day.

Off-spinner Simon Harmer delivered a match-defining spell, returning outstanding figures of 6 for 37 to rip through India’s middle order.

Ravindra Jadeja fought valiantly with a 54-run knock but received little support from the rest of the lineup. His resistance ended when Keshav Maharaj had him stumped, before the left-arm spinner also removed Mohammed Siraj to seal the victory.

The series win places South Africa in strong early contention for a place in the WTC final, while India face an uphill climb after suffering consecutive defeats.
