Winter Games Association AGM meet on December 24

Winter Games Association of J&K is going to hold its Annual General Meeting on December 24 at Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC), here.

The Association has asked all the individual members and district units to attend the meeting. Among other business, the association would finalize its annual sports calendar for the forthcoming winter season.

 During the meet ace winter sports athlete, Arif Khan, is going to be felicitated for him selected to participate in Asian Winter Games, scheduled to be held in February in Japan. On the occasion general elections for the next term would also be held.

J&K State Sports Council has approved several activities of the association for this winter which include 7 district championships to be held at different resorts; State Winter Games consisting of alpine skiing, nordic skiing and snowboarding; Cross-Country Ski expedition and coaching camps for selected state teams.

The Association shall also field its various state teams in all national championships to be held in Manali (HP) and Auli (Uttrakhand). The association shall also try to introduce few new snow sports at Gulmarg  during State Winter Games.
