NEW DELHI: Ajinkya Rahaneand Rohit Sharma have revealed an entertaining anecdote during one of their trips together when they went on a jungle safari in South Africa with Ravindra Jadeja.
Rahane and Rohit with their wives and Jadeja went for The Cheetah Walk which involves them strolling through a jungle unaware of what they might encounter. While they were on their adventure safari, an incident left Rohit furious so much so that he was about to hit Jadeja for his antics.
While roaming through the forest, they came across two cheetahs who were feasting on their prey. While it goes without saying disturbing them would not be the most intelligent of moves, Jadeja thought differently.
He began making noises to catch their attention. And guess what? He succeeded. The cheetahs turned to have a look at who was making the weird noises and Rohit almost punched Jadeja for putting them in danger.
However, better sense prevailed and Rohit decided to remain calm.
“Me, Rohit, Radhika (Rahane’s wife), Ritika (Rohit’s wife), Jadeja and Dhananjay came across two cheetahs who had just caught their prey. As we reached near them, they turned around to look at us,” Ajinkya Rahane revealed during an episode of What The Duck.
Rohit added, “We were quietly watching the cheetahs having their food. Jadeja is a crazy guy. He started making noises to get their attention. I told him not to do that and when they turned, only I know what was going through my mind. I looked at him angrily and wanted to punch him but I decided to stay calm. But yeah, don’t travel with Jadeja.”
