Srinagar: Pakistan left handed batter Fakhar Zaman has said that his side aims to win T20 World Cup 2024 in USA and West Indies.
“We will play the World Cup to win. We did well in the previous two T20 World Cups as well but weren’t able to win the title which is why we will try our best to clinch the trophy this time,” Fakhar Zaman was quoted as saying.
“Our team has a lot of match winners and in T20I cricket you only need one player, be it batter or bowler, to change the course of a match,” he added.
Pakistan reached the final of T20 World Cup in 2022, while they were the semi-finalists in 2021.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to announce the squad for T20 World Cup after the first T20I against England on May 22.
A total of 20 qualifying teams have been divided into four groups of five, from which the top two teams of every group will make their way to the Super eight round.
