Srinagar, July 5: National And International Football Forum (NIFF) held Kashmir provincial level meeting on Sunday, July 5 in Srinagar with speakers making resolve that they want to free J&K Football Association(JKFA) from corrupt persons.
“NIFF conducted an all district meeting at srinagar which included representation from all 10 districts of Kashmir Province, ” NIFF statement read.
“The meeting was addressed by Former Chairman Sports Board J&K Bank Abdul Hamid Banday, President Iqbal Sports Bashir A Malik, International Footballers Mehrajuddin Wadoo and Ishfaq Ahmed, International Football Coaches Sajid Yousuf and Hilal Rasool Parray, Chairman Kashmir Traders Rouf Ahmed Bhat, Former Referee Majeed Arfati, Former Footballer & Promoter Rayees Makhdoomi alongside club owners and district representatives attended the meeting, ” Statement said.
“All members in one voice raised the issue of mismanagement, poor governance and embezzlement of funds by present regime of J&K Football Association. It was decided unanimously no stone will be left unturned in reviving the past glory of the game of football in all parts of J&K. Every possible attempt will be made to make the exit of corrupt people running the affairs of football in JKFA so that they no longer destroy the game anymore and measures will be taken to any extent to remove such miscreants who have destroyed and degraded this sport of football which had once great cultural influence in our state, ” Statement further said.
Refering to recent JKFA statements, the NIFF statement read, “As per as the statement issued by JKFA comprising of details of issuing of funds to districts in the name Mufti Memorial and Khelo india, the district representatives highlighted this issue by bringing into notice that no such payments have been provided to any of the district as claimed by JKFA. NIFF in this regard has decided to approach higher authorities to look after this matter and reveal facts”.
