I League press conference in Srinagar 3

“When I was asked yesterday about the game, I had said that I am here for full three points in whatever the condition and situation would be. I came here and I am now going back with full three important away points. It is too difficult to play against a physical side like Real Kashmir and to beat them at home is real advantage,” Manuel Retamero Fraile said during post-match press briefing.

“The atmosphere was terrific and with Real kept moving up our defenders, keeper did a great job to keep them at bay and in counter Chidi did what he is meant for. Our strategy worked, everything worked and our keeper made great saves to give us three important away points,” he said.

“If you would have watched us closely, we stuck to our basics and our strengths. They play long balls while we go for short passes. We sneaked in and kept them away from getting clear chances at goal despite continuous attacks. By marking Krizo perfectly we frustrated them and that was visible in their change in tactics midway,” he said.

Manuel Retamero Fraile further said that Real Kashmir FC’s inexperience in I-League was visible and it cost them the game.

“We won because we have been in I-League from a couple of seasons now. We finished second last season and have experienced bunch of players. Real is new and inexperienced team and that was visible during this game,” he said.
