Srinagar: Pakistan premier opening batter Fakhar Zaman’s bad patch continued as he was stunned by Sri Lanka pacer Pramod Madushan in the Super 4 clash of Asia Cup 2023 on Thursday in Colombo.
Fakhar Zaman perished early in the must-win encounter with batter stumps shattered by Sri Lanka pacer.
Fakhar Zaman didn’t look comfortable at the crease and looked scratchy.
Sri Lanka Pramod Madushan bowled a sensational inswinging yorker at 138kph. Fakhar Zaman looked completely clueless against it as he was off-balance and half-forward as he attempted to push the ball.
He got beaten on the inside edge and the ball went on to hit the stumps. The batter didn’t expect a late swing.
Fakhar Zaman managed just 4 runs off 11 balls and it’s fair to say that his failure against Sri Lanka wouldn’t have done any good to him.
