Srinagar: Despite delivering a brilliant last over, youngster Zaman Khan failed to take Pakistan to victory as hone side Sri Lanka secured hard fought 2 wicket win in the must win clash of Asia Cup Super 4 in Colombo in Thursday.
Soon after that, senior star pacer Shaheen Afridi reached out to debutant Zaman Khan who was distraught.
Having eight runs to defend, the ODI debutant hit the right areas and bowled well. But Sri Lanka’s Charith Asalanka was able to edge a ball past the wicketkeeper for a four before scoring the winning runs.
In a video that has emerged, Afridi, the senior member, was seen hugging and consoling Zaman who was heartbroken following this defeat.
