Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar’s compassionate act towards Amir Hussain Lone drew admiration and applause from the entire cricketing community. Tendulkar extended a special invitation to the para-athlete for the opening ceremony of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) held at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
During his recent visit to Gulmarg, Tendulkar met with Amir and presented him with a signed bat, forging a bond with the captain of the Jammu & Kashmir para cricket team. Tendulkar graciously invited Amir and his family to the ISPL opening ceremony, where they spent quality time together, captured in heartwarming viral pictures.
At the event, Tendulkar and Amir shared the field in a unique match, joined by prominent personalities like Elvish Yadav and Munavar Faruqui from the entertainment industry. Amir’s wicket was claimed by former India cricketer Robin Uthappa, who displayed a mix of emotions after the dismissal.
Adding to the festivities, Tendulkar, along with team owners Ram Charan, Akshay Kumar, and Suriya, showcased their dance moves to the tune of the Oscar-winning song “Naatu Naatu” before the special cricket match.
The inaugural edition of the T10 tennis ball tournament is scheduled to take place in Thane from March 6 to 15. Six participating teams will engage in a round-robin format, with the top four advancing to the semi-finals.
