Srinagar: Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic entertained Australia Open crowd by playing participating in various games including Cricket on Thursday.
The Tennis Living Legend was seen playing cricket with Late Shane Warnes son Jackson Warne and Australia cricketer Steve Smith. Apart from Cricket, he also showed his skills in Basketball, Gymnastic, sprinting etc.
Djokovic, 36, was in a joyous mood before taking on Stefano Tsitsipas in an Australian Open charity match where he welcomed a number of Australian celebrities and shared some great moments with him.
Steve Smith who was also present and he ruthlessly smashed Djokovic into the stands after which the Serb asked to bat.
While Smith is renowned for his cricket prowess, spectators were left astonished when he flawlessly returned one of Djokovic’s serves on the Centre Court.
Even the seasoned tennis champion himself was taken aback, expressing his admiration by bowing down to the former Australia captain amid resounding applause from the enthusiastic crowd.
The duo later swapped their tennis racquets for a bat and ball to play cricket on the court.
Jackson bowled to Djokovic, who failed to connect with the ball. To ease his discomfort with the bat, the Serb picked up the racket and hit the ball into the stands.
Djokovic is scheduled to begin his Australian Open 2024 campaign by playing against a qualifier or a lucky loser and if advances to the third round, he could meet with old rival Andy Murray should the Brit win his matches.
