Srinagar: In a perfect act of revenge, Netherlands batter Bas de Leede winked at Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf after hooking him for six over square leg at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday (October 6).
It was reminder of a perfect revenge of T20 World Cup 2022 scene where Rauf had hit bouncer against Bas de Leede.
During his knock of 67, he hit six fours and two sixes, one of which came a rapid Haris Rauf bouncer that was hooked over the square leg boundary in the 29th over of the innings.
De Leede followed it up with a cheeky wink at Rauf, reminding everyone of what transpired between the two at the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.
During the Pakistan-Netherlands game at the T20 World Cup last year, de Leede was struck in the helmet by a Rauf bouncer that left him injured. He had to be taken off the field and was replaced by concussion substitute Logan van Beek.
