Srinagar: Taking the ongoing viral trend of Iftimania a notch higher, senior Pakistan batter Iftikhar Ahmed on Sunday smashed 6 sixes of an over against the bowling of Wahab Riaz in the PSL exhibition match in Quetta.
Having being in blistering form recently in Bangladesh Premier League, Iftikhar Ahmed showed no mercy to Wahab Riaz smashing six consecutive sixes against senior Pakistan pacer.
It was the final over of the Quetta Gladiators’ innings with Wahab Riaz as the bowler.
Iftikhar ended up playing an unbeaten knock of 94 runs in 50 deliveries while Wahab returned figures of 3 for 47 in four overs. Khushdil Shah was the second-highest scorer for Quetta Gladiators with 36 runs.
The video of Iftikhar’s blistering knock against Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi has gone viral on social media.
The Iftikhar ahmed fireworks helped the Gladiators pile up 184 runs in 20 overs. Chasing 185, Babar Azam & Co manage to score 181 runs and lost the match by three runs.
