Srinagar: Cricket World and fans were stunned as India’s premier Test batter Cheteshwar Pujara unleashed his beast mode of Power hitting during Royal London One Day cup match on Friday for Sussex against Warwickshire.
Pujara slammed a 79 ball 107 run knock including taking 22 runs off single over. It was unusual scene to witness as Pujara is known for his rock solid defense and has no reputation of power hitting or cheeky strokes.

Chasing 311 in 50 overs, Pujara hit 107 off just 79 balls for Sussex, which included 22 runs off the 45th over of the game.
With Sussex needing 70 off the final six overs, Pujara unleashed himself on England’s Liam Norwell, who was bowling his final over of the game. Norwell went for 4, 2, 4, 2, 6, and 4 in his final over, which pretty much balanced the scales of the game.

Pujara showed his innovative side with shots to all parts of the ground, something that has never been seen from him in top flight cricket.
Earlier, after getting dropped, Pujara stormed back into the India Test team, scoring multiple centuries in County Cricket set-up, which earned him a lot of support from the cricketing community.
Despite Pujara’s best efforts, Sussex lost match by four runs against Warwickshire.
Sussex currently stand in the second position in the tournament, with four points from three matches.
