Srinagar: Rolling back years and reminding everyone what he had got, Pakistan legend Wasim Akram shattered stumps of England legend Michael Atherton with perfect in swinging yorker.
In a celebrity charity match played in England in memory of Australian legend Shane Warne, Akram delivered a perfect inswing yorker to get Atherton.
As it wasn’t all, Akram went on to celebrate his wicket in his trademark celebration.
A video of the dilivery was posted by Cricket District on its Twitter handle.
“A classic @wasimakramlive inswinging yorker is too good for Michael Atherton!.
These legends are playing in the @WellbeingofWmen Celebrity Charity Match in remembrance of the great Shane Warne,” handle Tweeted.
Reacting to the Tweet, Akram said, “Sorry @Athersmike we might get older but some things will stay the same”.
“Some things never change. Wasim Akram, a cricketer the world will still be talking about in 500 years’ time. The most skilful bowler who ever lived,” said a Twitter user.
Akram in the match bowled four overs and took three wickets. He also scored 50 off 20 balls.
West Indies World Cup winning skipper Clive Lloyd was umpire while as another legend Brian Lara was at the other end.
