Srinagar: Before exerting his revenge and giving Pakistan breakthrough, Shadab Khan had to suffer against Team India skipper Rohit Sharma in the ongoing India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 match.
Rohit Sharma was at his absolute best and was particularly ruthless against Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan.
While Rohit’s opening partner Shubman Gill was quick off the blocks as he notched his fifty in 37 balls, Hitman was little cautious initially.
But soon after Gill completed half-century in the 13th over, Rohit upped the ante as he hit Pakistan’s leg spinner Shadab Khan for three consecutive boundaries in one over.
On the fourth delivery of the 13th over, Rohit rocked back and pulled a short-pitched delivery over cow corner for a six. The next ball was another half-tracker and again Rohit pulled the ball deep into the stands for another six. The final ball of the over was full to which Rohit played a cut shot and guided the ball behind square between the two fielders for a four.
If two sixes and a four was not enough, Shadab dished out a juicy full-toss to Rohit on the first delivery of his next over to which Rohit went deep into his crease and smoked the ball over deep mid-wicket fence for a huge six. With this six Rohit also reached his fifty.
