Srinagar: The Afghanistan star Sediqullah Atal’s crazy power show during ongoing Kabul Premier League has taken internet by storm as the batter smashed seven sixes in an over with the bowler conceding 48 runs in the over.
It was a match between Shaheen Hunters and Abasin Defenders. Shaheen Hunters batsman Sediqullah Atal smashed seven sixes in an over to equal India batter Ruturaj Gaikwad’s record.
During the 19th over, the Afghanistan young sensation turned on his power-hitting mode as the opposition’ spin bowler Amir Zazar gave away 48 runs in an over.
After giving away a six on a no-ball and five wides on the first ball, Sediqullah hit six consecutive sixes in six consecutive balls and with that the batsman smashed an unmatched seven sixes in an over.
The last six deliveries went for sixes. It was the 19th over of Shaheen Hunters’ innings as they posted 213 for six in 20 overs. Atal was unbeaten on 118 off 56 balls, with the help of seven fours and 10 sixes. In reply, Abasin Defenders were all out for 121 in 18.3 overs.
Earlier last year India batter Ruturaj Gaikwad hit seven sixes in the Vijay Hazare Trophy quarter-final against Uttar Pradesh in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Sediqullah Atal has played one T20I for Afghanistan.
