Srinagar: Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram has given his valuable advice to Pakistan spearhead pacer Shaheen Afridi ahead of Australia clash in the World Cup 2023.
Shaheen has bagged four wickets in three innings so far, but at an average of 34.75. His economy rate, 6.31, is also on the higher side.
“He has been bowling well. Obviously, his confidence will be a bit low but he is a wicket-taking bowler. Even if he is not taking wickets, he need to just be normal and don’t try to do anything extraordinary. I’m sure one good spell and wickets with the new ball will get him back into rhythm,” Akram said on a A sports channel.
Pakistan have registered two wins in three matches during the event, so far, but their only defeat came against arch-rivals India on Saturday.
