Srinagar: Few days after former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina had offered to help promote cricket in J&K, former cricketers Virender Sehwag and Mithun Manhas on Monday held meeting with PMO Minister of State Jitendra Singh , offering their services to promote cricket in J&K.
This was disclosed by PMO Minister of State Jitendra Singh through the Tweet on his official twitter handle.
“Noted cricketers Virender Sehwag and Mithun Manhas called on to express their deep association with #JammuAndKashmir and their plans to promote sports, particularly Cricket, among the youngsters there,” Jitendra Singh Tweeted.
While the former Indian opener Sehwag has been extensively active in promoting sports across the country and also has a school named after him, Manhas has deep roots to Jammu & Kashmir. He is originally from J&K and represented J&K in Ranji Trophy in the 2016-17 season. He was also coach and mentor of J&K Ranji team.
