Virat Kohli’s chat with Pakistan mountaineer Shehroze Kashif goes viral

Srinagar: An old casual chat of cricketer Virat Kohli with Pakistan mountaineer Shehroze Kashif has gone viral on the social media.

In video chat shared by Shehroze Kashif, India batting superstar Virat Kohli is heard chatting with the Pakistan mountaineer.

As per Kashif he spoke to the Indian star in Nepal in 2022.

In the video, Kohli can be heard saying, “Give my regards to your family and all your friends. Hopefully, we visit Pakistan soon; everyone’s started visiting now.”

While sharing the story behind his chat with Kohli, Kashif said that “In 2022 I was in Nepal when a stranger, originally from India [of course not going say his name so he doesn’t get in any trouble due to political reasons] praised my work. He mentioned he had connections to the cricket team, so I jokingly expressed my desire to talk to Virat Kohli”.

“To my surprise, he messaged Kohli on my behalf, and I had the opportunity to chat with him via video call. As a Pakistani, I proudly acknowledge Kohli as the greatest batsman of this era,” Kashif added.

India will start their World Cup campaign against Ireland on June 5 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, followed by the match against arch-rivals Pakistan on June 9 at the same venue. India will then take the field against USA and Canada on June 12 and 15 respectively.
