Veerian Cricket Academy (VCA) thrashed Eleven Star Hassanpora by 61 runs in Pre-Quarter final match of Hassan Premier League T20 at Railway Ground Bijbehara.
Batting First VCA scored 105 as target for opponent, in which Javaid Wagay Contributed 40, Tajamul Rafiq 18 and Shahid Altaf 21 runs. While Chasing the target of 105 runs Eleven Star Hassanpora Collapsed at the score of 43 runs and thus VCA emerged victorious in the match by 61 runs.
VCA defending the target of 105, it was the fiery spell of Swing Ka Sultan Owais Ibni Bashir and Amir that set the tone for VCA by consuming only 8 runs in first 5 overs. Which ultimately lead the opponent to face a huge defeat at the end with a margin of 61 runs. Besides them, Javaid Wagay the new sensation from Bijbehara town smashes 40 runs with the bat and took 3 wkts with ball at the crucial stage of the match. Javaid Wagay was adjudged as man of the match for his allround show.
In the today’s match 5 new players Viz: Tajamul Nisar, Javaid Wagay, Shubham Shabir, Amir Ismal, Rahil and Shahid Altaf made their debut for VCA and signed an agreement with VCA team Mangment to play as permenent members in the team. In this regard a small function was held at match in which VCA Chairman Dr. Riyaz Veeri gave team uniforms to all the debutants.
