Srinagar, 2 August 2021: Bradman-XI Sopore lifted the Varmul Cup T20 title defeating star studded BCC Reds Baramulla in the final played at Jehlum Sports Stadium Baramulla on Sunday August 2, 2021. Bradman XI bagged Cash prize of Rs 60000.

The tournament was organised by Baramulla Cricket Forum.

Deputy Commisioner Baramulla Bhupinder Kumar, Secretary J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gull and DIG North Kashmir Range Sujit Kumar were the guests during concluding function.

A large gathering of spectators and members from different Sports Associations who had reached the venue from all across the district witnessed the wonderful final.

The guests awarded cash prize of Rs 60000 to winning team while as Rs 30000 cash prize was given to the runner-up team besides cash prize of Rs 10000 and Rs 5000 cash 3rd and 4th position.

All three guests present on the occasion assured youth of baramulla of their complete support and promised good sports infrastructure in the district.

On the occasion Rupees 5 lakhs were sanctioned by Deputy Commisioner Baramulla to BCF in consultation with Sports Council for building of infrastructure at Jehlum stadium.

Nuzhat Gull, Secretary Sports Council sanctioned one practice wicket for budding cricketers on the spot.

Guests innaugrated two dugouts also and other equipments which were installed by BCF at Jehlum Stadium.

In the concluding remarks Nuzhat Gull asked all players and spectators present on the occasion to pledge their support for the slogan propounded by her, “Sports In Drugs out”.
