Srinagar :Australian opener Usman Khawaja has missed his flight to India due to Visa delay from the Indian government.
Khawaja is the only member who hasn’t received approval on time.
Khawaja posted on his Instagram account early Wednesday afternoon to indicate he was yet to depart, “Me waiting for my Indian Visa like… #stranded #dontleaveme #standard #anytimenow.”
He is scheduled to depart from Melbourne to Bengaluru on Thursday, subject to the approval of his travel documents.
This is not the first time Khawaja has faced delays in traveling to India, having faced similar issues in 2011.
Khawaja is set to tour India as Australia’s leading batter and winner of the Test player of the year award. He is determined to continue playing and proudly representing Australia despite previous delays.
