Selectors threw major shock when they axed Qamran Iqbal as the skipper of the J&K U-19 for the Vinoo Mankand Trophy tournament.
The selectors have appointed Vivrant as skipper while as Jiyad Nazir Magrey as vice-captain. Qamran Iqbal recently was part of India U-19 B team as vice-captain that emerged as winner in the U-19 four-nation tournament. In the tournament Qamran did well and even bagged man of the match award.
Qamran was last year captain of the J&K team and has been reckoned as next big thing of JK cricket. J&K will play their first match of the tourney tomorrow at Surat.
