Jammu: After phenomenal bowling performance on Day 1, J&K batsmen also responded on Thursday, making 304 runs before declaring in the second innings. The visitors now need 393 runs to win with nine wickets in hand.
Earlier, hosts were bundled out on paltry 161 runs, replying to which Kerala rattled on 63 runs. It was the duo of Auqib Nabi and Sahil Lotra who ripped through visitors batting line-up. The former scalped fifer while as latter picked four wickets.
Later, fifties by Abhishant Bakshi, Hisham Saleem and Paras Sharma helped hosts post 304 runs in the second innings. Therein, Auqib Nabi took the first Kerala wicket and sixth of the match before Day 2 stumps.
