JKCA on Friday dropped out-of-form Fazil Rashid from J&K U-23 squad but continued with Shubham Pundir and Paras Sharma despite their consistent failures. Both went unimpressive in Ranji Trophy as well in their first outing with U-23 team.
The selectors’ extended support for the duo in a way is injustice to Fazil and other budding cricketers believes a former JKCA official,
“Firstly JKCA should have not added these three to the squad. Now just removing Fazil is not done. Paras and Pundir continuing with the team is injustice done to Fazil and other cricketers,” he said.
Meanwhile, JKCA seems unmoved with team’s terrible performance in the CK Nayudu Trophy. They have so far lost three matches and conceded first innings lead in other two. However, coaching staff and some players are getting a special service by the association as they haven’t been changed yet,
“I don’t understand why is JKCA acting as mute spectators. They are giving free hand to coaching staff and some players. If team isn’t performing, why not remove the coaches and underperforming players?,” the former official further said.
