U-16 Tourney:  JK suffers another big loss

Srinagar: JK Under-19 suffered nine-wicket defeat against Haryana in the match of the U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy at Teri on Tuesday.

Batting first after winning the toss, JK were bundled out for 116 runs in first inning. For JK Abdul Samad scored 51 while as K Wadhwan scored 21. In reply Haryana scored 325 runs in first, getting 209 runs. S Gupta took three wickets for JK while as Mujtaba Yusuf and A Samad took two wickets each.

In the second inning, JK batting again failed, bundling out for 259 runs. They set a target of 50 runs. For JK, Kanhaiya Wadhawan scored 108 runs while as Owais Rashid scored 45.

In the second Haryana, achieved the target of required target for the loss of only one wicket. Haryana earned six points from the match while as JK got none.
