Srinagar: The Under-16 Kashmir FC football side missed chance to bag one crucial point its opening match of the U-16 Youth League as Hindustan FC scored winning goal in dyeing moments of the game.
At half time both teams were tied at 0-0 and in second half story was same with no team able to find the net. When it was looking that game will turn out as draw, Sumen Warry scored winner for Hindustan FC in 81st minute of the game. Hindustan FC won match by 1-0.
Though Kashmir FC lost, Coach praised team for the brilliant effort despite suffering defeat.
“It is the team that has come through hardships in the wake of financial crises. Still these young kids gave their everything during the game. Goalkeeper Uzair was terrific and he made several saves that kept team in the game,” coach said.
The coach said that he has high hopes from his side in the remaining matches.
“We are not well prepared but players are motivated to prove their critics wrong. We are hopeful to do well in the league,” he added.
