Two run-outs, two low scores: J&K players fail to impress in Deodhar Trophy

After finding a place in North Zone team for the prestigious Deodhar Trophy, both J&K players, Shubham Khajuria and Vivrant Sharma, failed to impress.

The duo played two matches each and couldn’t make a mark in either. Khajuria played the first match and opened the innings for North Zone but the right-handed batter could only make 10 runs.

Vivrat Sharma, on the other hand, also didn’t do anything notable. He made 4 runs in the first match and bowled a few overs as well without getting any breakthrough.

In the second game, Vivrant was run-out for 1 while Khajuria was also run-out for 6 against Northeast Zone on Tuesday.

North Zone team had an average tournament as they failed to make it to the finals, winning just two matches among the five.

Another J&K player Yudhvir Singh had also made it to the squad but was ruled out due to an injury.

Vivrant was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023 and scored a magnificent fifty in this debut match, which was SRH’s last game of the tournament. He is likely to be retained by the franchise for IPL 2024.
