Tempered DOB certificates continue to haunt J&K cricket as overage players feature in Women’s U-19 team

After being criticized for allowing overage players in Men’s U-19 side, JKCA on Sunday has once again landed into a controversy as there are allegedly some above age players in the Women’s U-19 team as well.

According to a group of female cricketers, some players have submitted fake DOB’s which JKCA has surprisingly approved without any proper investigation. They have further alleged that a few officials have supported them in the hoax. They came up with a proof and have warned JKCA to take action or else they might go to the police, “There are almost five overage players in the squad including 4 from Jammu and one from Kashmir. They have submitted fake birth certificates owing to the support from a few officials,” one of the players told KSW.

“We have even got the proof of a few players and if JKCA doesn’t take any action against those players and officials, we might have to go to the police,” she added. JKCA might face some serious issues if they failed to take this complaint in the consideration.
