T20 World Cup: Shan Masood hit on head in nets, taken to hospital

Srinagar: In a major update from Pakistan cricket, left handed batter Shan Masood was hit on head during training session at MCG and has been taken to hospital.

All Rounder Mohammad Nawaz’s shot hit Masood on the head for this unfortunate injury. He was lying down on the ground for 5-7 mints. He has been taken to the hospital. Doctors will examine him and then further steps will be taken.

Mohammad Nawaz looked distraught as he dropped to the ground in fear of the worst. Immediately, all his teammates rushed to him.

Physios immediately rushed in fearing a bad concussion. Masood will undergo MRI scans before taking a call on his immediate future.

“All of Shan Masood’s neurological observations are normal. His CT scan only shows superficial bruising where the ball struck him. He currently is asymptomatic and as concussion, he will be re-tested tomorrow,” PCB on Shan Masood.
