Jammu, December 23: Qamran Iqbal Wednesday scored fifty as Parvez Rasool-XI pipped Mohammed Mudhasir-XI in the first trial match at M.A Cricket Stadium, here.
As the surface at newly-made M.A Stadium was quite tricky, especially for batsmen, it took 53 balls for Qamran to reach his half-century.
Earlier, batting first, Mudhasir’s men made 121 runs in the alloted 20 overs. Shabir Nengroo top-scored with 36 runs, although it took him 40 balls while Owais Shah showed what he is capable of by firing 24-ball 33 runs.
For Parvez’s side, he himself picked a brace of wickets. In reply, they chased down the total in the 20th over, thanks to Qamran’s gutsy 50. Parvez Rasool also made some 15 unbeaten runs.
Left-arm spinner Amiz Aziz was the wrecker-in-chief for Mudhasir-XI as he scalped three wickets.
